In trying to accommodate an infinite variety of human shapes through static, 2D grading systems, we've created a loop of consumer frustration and mountain-sized inventory waste. Diversified sizing was meant to be a solution, but it has largely driven overproduction and skyrocketing return rates.
Welcome to Rethink Fit, a hands-on, three-day summer workshop designed for fashion designers, industry professionals, early career practitioners, and postgraduate students who want to challenge traditional fit paradigms through the physics and artistry of innovative design.
We believe a hopeful, sustainable future for fashion lies in changing how fabric interacts with form.
By exploring how fabric rotates, drapes, and dynamically responds to the body in motion we can create garments that naturally adapt to the wearer, reducing the need for infinite size variations and dramatically cutting down industry waste.
While massive institutional courses offer generalised basic skills to large groups, we limit our room to just 8 minds. We operate a completely unique, hands-on methodology delivering knowledge through physical sample garments and scalable solutions.
You don't need expert skills to join this revolution. We have removed the barrier of on-site production so we can focus on the value of experimentation. Using specially designed, highly flexible prefab garment kits, we will collaborate to explore how a rethought approach can change everything.
Analyse why traditional sizing fails the modern consumer and how dynamic pattern cutting can intervene.
Work with adaptable, pre-fabricated garment structures designed for maximum variability. Adjust, drape, and morph them instantly—no construction required. Take home a designed garment of your choosing to keep exploring.
Experiment with how the exact same methodology behaves across a spectrum of different fabric weights.
Collectively analyse how inherently fluid forms might replace the rigid, wasteful sizing systems of the past to reflect emerging sustainable practice.

We are a team with 25 years of independent practice, spent pushing design boundaries and selling experimental fashion outcomes. Between us, we have conceptualised and explored design innovations years ahead of mainstream adoption.
The partnership works because our methods are complementary. One is a systematic innovator—a heritage-craft-trained AI integration pioneer who researches extensively before executing with precision. The other is an intuitive resolver—a construction virtuoso and material experimentation specialist who iterates until the impossible becomes possible, and functional.
Current students, and Parsons/New School alumni, are offered a dedicated rate of £849 early bird and £999 standard, inclusive of VAT. Let us know your status when you join the waiting list.
All refund amounts are calculated on the fee paid. From 1 August we commit to venue, materials, and kits for each confirmed participant, which is why refunds close on that date. Transfers, however, remain open right up to the workshop.
Can't attend? Your space may be transferred to another individual at any time, free of charge, by letting us know in advance. This is often the easiest solution — the space stays filled and you avoid the cancellation charge.
In the unlikely event we would need to cancel the event, you'll receive a full 100% refund.
